Enginux is an operating system based on the Ubuntu GNU/Linux distribution aimed to be used by engineering students. It is named after Engineer, the annual techfest of National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. A new version of this distribution is released every year during the techfest.
Enginux is a single-DVD distro with all applications which an engineering student would expect/use during his study period. Moreover, it also includes a number of multimedia, graphics, desktop, internet, networking and development tools.
