Event Introduction

Blueprint, the paper presentation contest held as part of Engineer attracts some of the best minds from all over the country. In this event, participants are invited to present papers spanning various research topics pertaining to the different branches of engineering - specifically, Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Mining and Metallurgy. The ideas received will be passed through a rigorous screening process to ensure high standards.

- Notification of acceptance - 20th October 2009

Event Format
Details of Paper Submission- Submissions are invited pertaining to novel research ideas and implementations in any of the above fields
- The submissions should be original work by the authors
- Any hint of plagiarism will lead to instant disqualification
- Authors are not permitted to submit papers that have already been accepted for publication/presentation in other conferences or journals. Also, authors may not submit work that is under review in journals/conferences.
- An online system has been activated where authors can submit their paper-abstracts and also check the status.
- All paper-abstracts will undergo a blind-review process. This means that the authors are not to reveal their identity in ANY form in the abstracts. Authors are only required to mention their names and details in the appropriate section while uploading the abstract. Any attempt to reveal the author’s identity in the submitted abstract will lead to disqualification.

Paper submission format
- NOTE: Authors will need to submit a single page abstract for the initial selections. Full papers will be needed for only those that are finally selected.
- There is no specific format for the abstract. Mention the title of the paper and DO NOT mention the authors or author-affiliations. The abstract should not exceed 500 words in length and can include tables, figures or other data that the authors feel will improve the chances of their paper being selected. Also, it is necessary to include references. (The word limit is exclusive of the references and the title)
- The Paper-Kit for the full paper submission can be downloaded here. This is a detailed explanation of the formatting rules to be followed for the submitted paper.
- You can directly edit a DOC file or a LaTeX template. Both of these are already formatted according to the rules stated above.
- Submissions must not exceed 4 full pages in length.
