Online Math

Event Introduction

No techfest can be complete without pure mathematical problem solving. A problem stands by itself really innocent waiting to be attended to and solved! The joy and thrill of this activity cannot be shared and must only be experienced. This Engineer, we hope to keep our math enthusiasts busy and craving for more with our Online Math event. All you would probably need is time (which you will have in plenty before the fest starts), and high school mathematical knowledge. The problems will be of Olympiad and College Mathematics standard.

For Participants :
Deadline for submission of solutions :
Set 1 : Oct 13 (00:00 hrs) , following which Set 2 will be subsequently released.
Set 2 : Oct 22, 00:00 (Set 3 released then).
Set 3 : Oct 29 (00:00 hrs) (Note).
Mode of Submission :
Participants can directly mail their solutions (in pdf/doc/docx/txt format) to onlinemath@engineer.org.in
Results :
Final Results will be declared on last day of Engineer (Nov 1, Sunday), and winner(s) will be notified by email. Elegance of solution is a criterion. Thought process and methodology carry more weight than final answer, and time of submission will be used in any case of tie.
Participants please note that this is an individual event, and no teams considered.
