Participants are required to design a small business unit for their college campus on a 10 feet by 10 feet site using locally available reusable or waste materials. Participants have the freedom to choose any business unit like an eatery, a tea stall or a book stall suitable for a campus. Innovative and eco friendly ideas will be appreciated.

The team can include a maximum of three members.

Stage I - Teams are expected to send the abstract design, concisely stating ideas and techniques, in MS-word document, AutoCAD drawings etc, through email. Teams will be shortlisted based on these documents.

Last date for submission of design and tender is 15th October 2011.

Stage II - Selected teams will be invited to Engineer'11 and are required to prepare a poster showing the design of space, materials used and green ideas incorporated. A report including cost analysis of the whole set up, business idea and reasons for it must be submitted.

• Originality and purpose of the business unit - 20%
• Innovative use of materials, aspects of sustainability and green design - 40%
• Report including cost analysis of the set up, poster design, presentation - 30%
• Samples of materials used (for example, a sample depicting how materials are bound to each other) - 10%

• All members of the team should be enrolled as students in an educational institute.
• No person can be a part of more than one team.

Note: The decision of judges and organizing committee would be final and binding. The organizers reserve the right to modify any of the rules and regulations from time to time in order to maintain a healthy spirit of the competition.
