In this era of cutthroat competition, perfection alone will not suffice, quickness too is indispensable. With intent to encourage designers in using CAD, Quick CAD is an online AutoCAD event that tests the proficiency of a participant in replicating a given image quickly. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior, this event assures a touch of real quick cadding.

The event requires a participant to draw a replica of an image provided using AutoCAD. A participant needs to register for the event. As soon as the participant registers, an image will be displayed and a timer starts. The drawing has to be drawn to the specified dimensions. The timer runs until the AutoCAD solution file is uploaded. Individual participation only.

• Each participant will get TWO DAYS to complete the given drawing.
• Timer starts as soon as you login and “Take Quiz”.
• Only AutoCAD files with extension .dwg will be accepted.
• Deadline for submission is 9 a.m on 27 Oct 2011.
• A participant can upload more than instance of the file, but only the latest file will be considered for evaluation.
• The time considered for evaluation will be the duration taken to upload the final file from the instant you “take quiz”.

• Minor dimensions can be assumed
• Use AutoCAD 2008 version or a later version
• Drawings can be two or three dimensional
• The competition will be held from 25th October 2011 0900 hrs to 27th October 2011 0900hrs

• Time taken to draw. Lesser the time taken more the points.
• Resemblance to the original image.

• All participants should be enrolled as students in an educational institute.
• Participants should register individually

Note: The decision of judges and organizing committee would be final and binding. The organizers reserve the right to modify any of the rules and regulations from time to time in order to maintain a healthy spirit of the competition.
