Simplicity

Event Introduction

Prizes worth 25000 INR to be won...

"Most of the fundamental ideas of science are essentially simple, and may, as a rule, be expressed in a language comprehensible to everyone."
-Albert Einstein

One of the most handy tools an engineer has at his/her disposal today apart from his/her aptitude and problem-solving skills is the language of technical computing, MATLAB. At Engineer Golden Jubilee Edition, we intend to put all these traits of an able engineer through the acid test we call Simplicity. An internationally acclaimed online MATLAB coding event, Simplicity has been one of the flagship events of Engineer and has drawn colossal participation from all across the globe year after year.

Event Format

This is an online event, wherein we will pose to you a series of problems which you need to solve using MATLAB. The problems will not be specific to any particular domain of engineering, they will rather be based on fundamental mathematics and basic engineering every engineer is expected to know. Even if you are posed with a problem in, say, electrical engineering, the problems should be solvable with the basic mathematics and electrical engineering you studied in your fundamental courses. You are expected to be fairly familiar with MATLAB. If the solution of any problem requires specific knowledge, then, the requisite information will be provided. For example, in a problem involving images, knowledge of image processing algorithms will not be necessary. Though not necessary, prior experience in the field will obviously be helpful.
