The Last Word is a panel discussion that marks the grand finale of the four day long technical affluence. Over the years The Last Word has seen many eminent personalities from different fields of interest discussing topics concerning education, entrepreneurship, social responsibility and environment.
In the light of the recent developments and educational reforms in the country an age old issue has come into prominence. It has always been a disputable topic as to whether good colleges trump “more” colleges. Bearing in mind India’s huge population, a large section of society does advocate the setting up of new colleges so as to cater to the ever growing demands, but the question arises as to whether quality has to be compromised or if an equilibrium can somehow be established?
With a view to unearth the answers for these burning issues, the topic of this year’s edition of The Last Word will be “Reality of Engineering in India - Sacrificing Quality for Quantity”
