Dr.B M Hegde, Former Vice Chancellor of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Probably the only Indian to become the fellow of all the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the British Isles, Dr. B M Hegde served as the Vice Chancellor of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education till August 2003. Having visited almost all the countries in the world as visiting professor, examiner, distinguished doctor and academician, he has been instrumental in guiding a number of students from many universities for their doctoral thesis. He won the Pride of India Award from Federation of Indian Associations of Northern California in recognition of Developing and implementing higher educational policies and programs, outstanding community service and promoting Indian culture, Heritage, philosophy and values, the Best Communicator Award by Public Relation Society of India in 1997 and Dr B C Roy National Award in the category of “Eminent Medical Teacher” in 1999.

Professor K.B. Powar, Former Secretary General of the Association of Indian Universities

A Fullbright Scholar in Geology, Professor Krishnapratap Bhagwantrao Powar is the Founder Director of the Amity Foundation for Higher Learning. For the last eighteen years Prof. Powar has been an educational administrator, and has made significant contributions to research and policy planning in higher education, and he served as Secretary General of the Association of Indian Universities till 2002. He has published more than fifty papers and is the author of four books including Internationalisation of Higher Education: Focus on India. A well-known earth scientist who has made important contributions to Himalayan Geology and Environmental Geology, he is presently Advisor to the Vice Chancellor, D.Y. Patil University, Pune.

Dr. Vinnie Jauhari, Head of University Relations Division, Hewlett-Packard India

Dr. Jauhari is an M.Sc. (Hons.) in Electronics from Punjab University, Chandigarh and MBA (Gold Medalist) (Marketing). She received her Ph.D. on Corporate Entrepreneurship from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and her Post-Doc from the United Nations University, Tokyo in the area of Technology and Society. Dr Jauhari heads the University Relations Division in India at Hewlett-Packard India. She is also currently Adjunct Professor and earlier the Head of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship at IIMT. She is also the founding editor of the Journal of Services Research. She has over seventy publications in National and International Journals. Her area of expertise is Corporate Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Technology issues. She is a reviewer for Technovation. She is on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.

Prof.N.Prabhudev, Vice Chancellor Bangalore University

Prof. N Prabhudev is a consultant, professor, and professional educator whose education spans over 25 years from the Bangalore Medical College, Postgraduate Research Institute – Chandigarh and guy’s hospital London and various centers in US. Being a cardiologist and surgeon he has excelled in this profession. Prof. N Prabhudev has many academic publications to his credit. He is an executive member of the Karnataka Knowledge Commission. He also enjoys giving lectures and motivational speeches.
